Park Hye-jin (34, photo), a franchise player who played 16 seasons for women's professional basketball at Woori Bank, transferred to BNK, a team based in Busan, her hometown.

The BNK club announced on the 18th, "We have recruited Park Hye-jin, a free agent (FA)." Her contract period is 4 years, and her total compensation for the first year is 320 million won (270 million won in annual salary and 50 million won in allowances). She was ranked first overall in the rookie draft and wore the Woori Bank uniform. Park Hye-jin, who played exclusively for Woori Bank for 16 years from the 2008-2009 season to last season, is a leading player representing Korean women's basketball. Her guard, Park Hye-jin, has averaged 11.5 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 489 regular league games since making her professional debut. She was selected as Most Valuable Player (MVP) three times.

Park Hye-jin left a message of gratitude to Woori Bank coach Wi Sang-woo, who worked with her for 12 seasons while moving her team. She said, "I think I have become a happy player who is recognized now because Coach Wi Seong-woo raised me," and Park Hye-jin said, "I will never forget the time Coach Wi worked hard to raise me for the rest of my life." Park Hye-jin worked with coach Wi, who took the helm at Woori Bank in the 2012-2013 season, for 12 years. Park Hye-jin has led her team to wins for six consecutive years since her first season as head coach.

BNK also recruited forward Sonia Kim (31), who played for Shinhan Bank until last season, as a free agent. BNK, which was at the bottom last season, succeeded in strengthening its power with the recruitment of Hye-jin Park and Sonia Kim and is considered a candidate for the championship next season.
